Alabaster candle holder amber round 20 cm

This alabaster candle holder in amber is handmade from crystallized stone from the Sahara desert. The cutting is done by hand gradually so the crystals won't break. With a tea light the alabaster candle holder gives a magical, warm light, showcasing the subtle veins in the stone. Because alabaster is a natural, semi-precious stone colours will vary, making every candle holder unique.

The alabaster stone origins from the pharaonic era of Egypt. The alabaster stone exists in different shades of white, beige and amber in different densities of stone crystals. All the work is done by hand and the process goes through many steps. In order for the fine crystals in the stone not to break, the cutting must be done gradually over days. 

Important to know: alabaster stone cannot be cleaned with water. Use fine sandpaper to remove stains. We advice to put some fine sand in the bottom to avoid candle wax to stick to the candle holder.
