#recyclerevolution

#recyclerevolution

Every year we throw away 210,000 kilotons of textiles in The Netherlands alone. 65% of these textiles end up in the incinerator. Pollution is enormous worldwide. We want to change this, and that's why we started our #recyclerevolution mission in 2012. The By Mölle Take Back Program is based on circular principles and closing cycles. We care about the lasting effects of waste, and by recycling, we reduce unnecessary waste and reduce pollution.

There is no such thing as 'away.
When we throw anything away it must go somewhere.

recycled denim
We give textiles a second life by removing zips and buttons and spinning the fibre to a soft, high quality yarn that we use for our recycled denim collection. In Portugal we found a knitting atelier that makes our recycled denim collection. The pieces are selected by color, reduced to fibers and spun to beautiful yarn that we use for our home textiles and wraps. Eco-friendly, a good alternative for cotton and a great way to dress your home.

recycled down and feathers
After a successful pilot with our recycled down cushion pads, we're excited to share with you our eco bed basics collection. Luxury pillows and duvet inserts filled with 100% recycled down. Produced in such a way that valuable natural materials can be reused. A next sustainable step, made in the Netherlands. Down and feathers are 100% natural. Ideal for a good night's sleep:
wonderfully soft, airy and warm. One of the remarkable qualities is longevity over years. We’ve been working hard to introduce recycled down. All the recycled down we use for our duvets and pillows is certified according to the Global Recycle Standard (GRS). This guarantees you that the down is of ethically impeccable origin in terms of the environment, working conditions and traceability. Only the softest down of the highest quality is selected. The entire recycling process takes place in the Netherlands and meets the strictest European standards.

Did you know?
Down and feathers have been recycled since people use them as filling material for their bedding. In old times, farmers took the down out of the fabric shell when their duvet was too damaged. They washed the down, added new down to it and filled it into a new shell. They knew well how precious down is.
