Based on an idealism to make the world more beautiful, friends Lucienne Dunnewijk and Marianne Maat started By Mölle. It all started in a miller's house in Hoonhorst with making linen bedding, cushions and curtains to order. This expanded over the years into a beautiful sustainable collection that is sold via the website www.bymolle.com where natural materials and quality predominate. The entire collection can now also be admired in the new By Mölle store, studio & café at Kruisstraat 3 in Hattem.

Recently, Lucienne and Marianne have decorated this unique historic national monument for a new phase in history. “Customers are welcome in our store spread over three floors with a cozy café and terrace outside. We are happy to offer you a casual atmosphere and good organic coffee, tea, drinks and homemade treats.”

The By Mölle collection consists of an extensive textile collection of linen, cotton and recycled material. It is not without reason that both entrepreneurs chose the name By Mölle. The first plaid from Veluwe heath sheep was made under the smoke of the mill in Hoonhorst. There is now an extensive collection on the shelves with a complete textile line of unique materials. “We want to take your home to a cleaner, greener and healthier level. Using organic, natural materials is better for the environment and the footprint we leave behind.” Since the start ten years ago, a sustainable alternative to conventional textiles has been central to the By Mölle collection. Lucienne and Marianne have searched for a long time for a beautiful building to present the collection. “Hattem is a nice and lively town, where we have always liked to visit. The Heilige Geest guesthouse fits our style so well. Everything came together in this special place. The reactions are extremely positive. We were received very hospitably.”
