Marieke Verdenius is an Amsterdam-based photographer and stylist. Her versatile portfolio focuses on slow lifestyle, interiors, food, nature, and still lifes. In addition to her work as a photographer, Marieke enjoys sharing her expertise by offering workshops, gatherings, exhibitions, and pop-ups with personal guidance, tips, and advice. On Sunday, June 9th, Marieke will be hosting an exclusive Interior Photography workshop at the By Mölle studio store in Hattem. During this workshop, you will receive valuable insights and tips from Marieke on how to capture the best interior photos in a small group setting (maximum of 8 participants). Marieke, can you tell us more about the content of the workshop?
"We will delve into the art of styling and photographing various settings in the store. With practical examples, I will demonstrate what makes a composition strong and show techniques to utilize natural light to enhance your compositions. You will learn to distinguish the optimal angles and compositions for your photos. Additionally, we will explore the impact of different lenses on your images and how they contribute to achieving desired effects. Finally, I will guide you in optimizing your photos with Adobe Lightroom Classic CC to elevate your visual storytelling skills. Each participant will have the opportunity for one-on-one time with me for personal questions. Feel free to bring your digital camera, your analog camera, or just your mobile phone. You will learn about: what makes a strong composition? How do you vary with different angles and interesting perspectives? When do you use a 50 mm lens or a 24-70 mm lens? This workshop is ideal if you want to learn more about creating interior images that are simple yet rich and minimalist. After capturing the settings – with my personal guidance – we will dive into post-processing our images with Adobe Lightroom to make them stand out even more. So grab your camera (or borrow one from a friend), bring extra lenses (if you have them), and bring your laptop for an intensive but inspiring day in June. I look forward to meeting you there!"
