This painting by Dutch artist Maartje van den Noort is a study of Daucus Carota. “She keeps captivating me with here lace like flower screens and her slender but very strong stems. Daucus Carota is a perfect model to me."
Maartje van den Noort lives and works in Amersfoort. She graduated from the Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam in 2006 and has been making beautifully refined drawings, paintings and graphics ever since. Her monumental tapestries are woven at Textielmuseum in Tilburg.
