An oasis of calm in Amsterdam

A sneak peek in this light and spacious family home at the water front in Amsterdam. Originally built in 1969 by architect F.J.E. Dekeukeleire, Marike and Maarten renovated the house to modern standards while keeping most of its original, beautiful features. An oasis of calm close to the city center.

The colour palette Marike chose is earthy and natural, with pure materials like linens, light oak and lime paint. For the living room she chose By Mölle linen curtains in flax with a single pleat. The oversized drape brings a casual touch to the clean lines and minimalist interior. The all white bedroom is dressed with pure white linen bedding. Light and serene, just like the bathroom designed by Not Only White, the brand Marike runs.
